Delta was on time, we made all of our connections in good order, and after an overnight flight we landed in Paris around 11:00 am, changed planes, and got into Dublin around 2:00 pm. We took a taxi to hotel and when we checked in we had a pleasant surprise. Double Tree had upgraded our rooms to a suite.
We spent a couple of hours getting settled in, then went out to explore the old town and have dinner. We walked across the H'lf Penny Bridge and went to the Temple Bar. This bar was established in the early 1800's and is a very famous pub in Dublin. Of course we had a Guinness and then had dinner. After dinner we walked around a little bit and went to the Queen of Tarts for dessert. Much to our disappointment it closed at 7:00. So being resourceful, we found another place for dessert.
I must say we are enjoying this trip. Ireland is every bit good as advertised. A good night's rest is in order and tomorrow promises to be be a great day. The weather is great.
