Dublin, our first stop in Ireland
Travel with Amanda and Harry Kearley and Linda and Jerry Hatfield as we cross the Atlantic on our European adventure. This blog records another adventure in our travels to explore the countries of Europe. This trip will begin in Ireland and end in England. Harry's diving skills will be challenged as he will be driving on the "wrong" side of the road and the "wrong" side of the car in two countries. We will all attempt to establish communications with English speaking citizens of two countries who speak the same language we do, but with different dialects. When we told an English friend of ours about much we enjoyed the TV series, Downton Abbey, but when we watched it, we had to use sub-titles to understand what was going on, he was shocked.
While in Ireland, we will view the Book of Kells, walk across the Ha'penny bridge, eat at the Temple Bar, spend the night in the Waterford Castle, drive the Ring of Kerry, walk the Cliffs of Moher, kiss the Blarney Stone, look for a leprechaun, and a 4 leaf clover . This and more. I will, depending on WiFi capability, attempt to chronicle our journey on a daily basis. This trip has been in the planning stage for over a year and embarkation day has finally arrived.
